Material Specifications / Technical specifications technologist - Taunton - ??neg
My client, a leading and award winning food manufacturer is looking to recruit a Material Specifications technologist / Technical specifications technologist to work for their large FMCG site near Taunton.
The primary role of the Material Specifications technologist / Technical specifications technologist will be to work with suppliers and internal cross functional teams to ensure required food safety, quality and legal standards are maintained through detailed specifications.
The role will also require the successful individual to:
??Ensure the site technical systems are in place for obtaining and maintaining raw material specifications
??Maintain the supplier database and supplier audit information
??Ensure that the specs are reviewed and monitored
??Ensure Risk assessments of Raw Materials are carried out
??Carry out internal audits of site systems and procedures ensuring follow up of any corrective actions
??Request accreditation certificates and reports from suppliers
Key skills required
??Specification experience
??Previous food/drink/pharma experience
??Excellent attention to detail
??Good computer skills
??Self motivated
??Good communication skills
In return my client offers a good salary plus excellent benefits commensurate with a large organisation. Hours on the role are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday with 30 days holiday
