The Role:

Main Goals & Objectives:
The job holder is responsible for Quality planning activities for all bought in parts, maturation in line with design specification and approval of parts and completion of 2DP process.
Technical support on complex Supplier Quality issues including KAF, Production and Field.
Drive quality improvements at external suppliers to ensure Product Quality targets are achieved.
Ensure the company has the right information related to supplier quality performance to nominate suppliers that achieve quality standards.

Main Responsibilities:
1. Delivery of Parts Quality planning tools in line with project gateways
a. Lessons learnt
b. Risk assessments of parts content
c. Facilitation and reporting of QTR activities
d. Application of Quality planning tools QPNi
2. Part Maturation, Approval and Capacity analysis
a. Conduct approval process with support from other functions where required
b. Meisterbock process including management of suppliers and parts through process
c. Problem management with supply base
d. Conduct and report 2DP in line with Quality plan
3. Achieve Quality targets on pre series & series vehicles (Audit, DPV, Aftersales)
a. Drive actions to achieve targets on Product Quality issues
b. Identify risks against targets and escalate
c. Drive actions to achieve targets on QMM warranty/PDI issues
4. Drive supplier improvement & Problem solving
a. Monitor supplier performance measures
b. Drive supplier improvement initiatives
c. Support the supplier nomination process
d. Solves problem sussing recognised techniques to establish root cause and containments
e. Deliver effective presentations

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Experience and knowledge of Engineering across multiple commodities or as a specialist in one commodity.
Significant experience in automotive supplier quality management either at a supplier or OEM.
Significant experience of management systems and processes to mature parts and resolve technical problems related to parts quality from suppliers.
Significant experience and demonstrable track record of quality planning.
Demonstrable experience of delivering QA standards related to parts QA against time & cost constraints.
Computer literate with excellent presentation skills to senior management level.
Can motivate and influence others to change including management & management at suppliers.
Can communicate convincingly and professionally to management within Bentley & at suppliers.

PRACTICAL & TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
Practical knowledge and experience in at least one commodity ( Electrical etc)
