Technical Recruiter
We have a new exciting opportunity, not to be missed! At PROCAT we are currently looking for an In-House Technical Recruiter to join our team based in Basildon. The successful candidate will join us on a part time, temporary basis for up to six months, working three days per week and will receive a competitive salary of up to £30,000 per annum (pro-rata) dependent upon skills and experience.
PROCAT is a specialist college which has been established to meet the workforce development needs of businesses which operate in sectors which are critical to the UK economy. This includes advanced apprenticeships to secure a pipeline of new talent, higher and degree apprenticeships to support advanced engineering capability and bespoke training solutions to develop the expertise and skills of the existing workforce.
About the In-House Technical Recruiter role
By bringing the recruitment function in-house, we want to improve our ability to reach out to high-calibre candidates and ensure we provide them with a professional recruitment experience.
Key Responsibilities of our In-House Technical Recruiter
- To design and implement an in-house recruitment/marketing strategy
- To propose cost-effective solutions for sourcing and attracting candidates by using appropriate databases and social media
- Implement a range of KPI’s to monitor improvements introduced
- Document key processes in a user manual
- Conduct a full review of current recruitment procedures and prepare a report to propose improvements
- Work with the Head of HR to review the college’s recruitment plan and assist with the implementation of the requirements
- Conduct a review of candidate assessment tools and propose solutions
- A reduction in reliance on third party recruiters and a reduction in expenditure
- Increase in calibre of candidates
What we’re looking for in our In-House Technical Recruiter
- Proven experience of working as a recruiter either in-house or in a recruitment agency
- Experience of setting up a recruitment process specifically using social media, database searching, web sourcing, networking, advertising
- Experience of using various recruitment selection processes
- Good standard of general education
- Knowledge of managing candidates through the full end to end recruitment process with a focus on providing an exceptional candidate experience
Desirable skills required
- Experience with the recruitment of technical/engineering staff
- CIPD qualified
- Experience of working with Cezanne (HR Database)
