An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Purchasing Administrator / Executive to join our client, an IT company providing technology sourcing, technology services and infrastructure consultancy.

As a Purchasing Administrator / Executive, you will be tasked with undertaking a range of purchasing tasks to support our client’s day-to-day activities. 

Specifically, you will seek to fulfil purchasing requirements in order to complete customers’ orders and act as the main point of contact and first point of escalation for purchasing problems. 

You will aim to reduce the number of returned goods and seek to use this stock to fulfil other orders where possible. 

On a day-to-day basis, you will place and manage orders, resolving order and supplier issues efficiently. You will update sales staff on the procedure for raising orders; maintain supplier information on the Navision system and create and maintain a variety of purchasing-related reports. 

Additionally, you’ll support the Senior Executives by organising facilities for events such as meetings and making travel arrangements. 

Interested? Whilst no experience is necessary, to be considered, you must have: 

- At a minimum, five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade A* - C 
- An excellent level of accuracy 

Articulate and adaptable, as a Purchasing Administrator / Executive, you’ll also need excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. You will possess a strong level of IT skills and a good telephone manner. 

Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply would be beneficial to your application, but is not essential, as this will form part of your future career development.
