A successful Lincolnshire secondary school is seeking an energetic and committed Humanities teacher to join their full-time staff for September 2017. The school was built within the last 5 years and received 'Good' from OFSTED in its first inspection very recently. The Humanities department is expanding after 2 internal promotions to SLT and middle-leader posts, hence the need for a new full-time teacher of Humanities.
The ideal candidate will be a Humanities teacher with experience of History and Geography teaching and planning. You will be working closely with the HOD in planning and delivering teaching and learning in both these subject areas, and will focus particularly on teaching these as options at GCSE level.
The academy is set in a lovely area in Lincolnshire with spacious playing fields and sports facilities. There is close and easy access to road and rail transport links. Since the establishment of the academy, there have been excellent partnerships forged with the local community. The academy also provides excellent extra-curricular and sporting opportunities, and the successful candidate will be encouraged to participate and contribute to this aspect of academy life.
