MRC - Laboratory of Molecular Biology - Cambridge, UK
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) Finance Team. You will be required to assist and support the Head of Finance and the Finance Team in providing a professional and proactive finance service to the LMB.
An important part of the role is the financial management of the asset register, taking a lead in budgeting and reforecasting whilst supporting and deputising for the Head of Finance as required. The role is proactive in that you would be expected to provide professional advice as required. You will be responsible for managing the Finance Office on a daily basis and have formal line management responsibility for three members of staff.
You should have an AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting with relevant experience. You will have working knowledge of an accounting system and have excellent Excel skills with an ability to interrogate large quantities of data. You will be an independent worker with strong communication skills and will be able to explain complex financial matters to non-accountants and to Senior Managers as required.
