Our Client - busy aerospace company based in Hockley area of Bimignham requires a new, full time, in-house NDT manager level III, to work initially with existing level III and gradually take over the management and day to day operation of the fully NADCAP approved and NDT department.
Working hours:
Mon - Thu 8am - 4.45pm
Fri 8am - 1pm
You'll use a range of methods such as:
visual inspection,
thermal imaging - to find defects in concrete and other building materials
dye testing - staining surfaces with fluorescent liquid
magnetic particle testing - applying magnetic particles to materials
The candidate shall be experienced in MPI and penetrant dye inspection of aerospace components for organisations such as Rolls-Royce , Moog, UTC, MBD, GE, Triumph, etc. Also have experience of NADCAP and be disciplined, highly organised and self motivated, with a good ability to communicate effectively at all levels with employees, customers, auditors and primes' representatives.
Ideally candidate shall be qualified to level II (and preferably level III) in both MPI and penetrant dye and be willing to take on the role of managing the busy NDT department, looking after existing NDT operatives, maintaining it's approvals and aiding in the quoting of new work.
Salary to reflect the responsibilities of this permanent senior position, and will be dependant upon experience and qualifications.
