Due to retirement, an opportunity has arisen for a Team Manager for the adults Safeguarding Out of Hours Service. With a qualification in Social Work or Occupational Therapy, applicants must have a current Approved Mental Health Professional status to ensure the service delivers its statutory mental health functions.
Safeguarding Out of Hours Service operate outside of the normal working day, therefore the working patterns include evenings, overnight and weekends. The service is critical to the transformation of services across Hertfordshire, with the aim of joint working and integration.
The post holder will need to demonstrate experience of leading and managing a team to ensure prioritisation of safe and timely assessments to a standard of the day service.
Responsibilities will include:
Having in place processes for multi-disciplinary assessment and hand offs to the day services
Planning and organising a resilient rota
Working alongside the existing core seven day services to support prevention of admission to care and hospital discharges
Providing supervision and performance management to staff that seeks to maintain capabilities and competency
Planning and delivering a service that is accessible and equitable
The successful candidate will have the ability to influence the workings of other services, to ensure service planning, deliver and review to mitigate any adverse impact on the service. You will be a skilled communicator who can work with competing demands for services. You will have knowledge of the legal framework affecting children and adults and its application in practice to ensure compliance with local policies and procedure.
With the ability to monitor and report the impact and outcome of the service performance you will possess skills in budget management and reporting. You will also be a creative thinker who can work with community providers to come up with innovate solutions.
This post has a salary enhancement of 12.3% for out of hours working.
