Location: Flexible within the following areas Truro, Plymouth, Exeter, Taunton 35 Hours per weekContract type: PermanentSalary: GBP 26,845 - GBP 33,755About the roleWe are currently looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Independent Living and Crisis Response team in the South and Channel Islands. The post-holder will be leading Independent Living teams delivering a range of services across the west of the area, covering services stretching from Truro to Bristol. Location is flexible but must be based in one of our main offices in the area covered by the role (Truro, Plymouth, Exeter or Taunton).The Independent Living Operations Manager will co-ordinate and develop our local Independent Living services to ensure they are provided in a comprehensive and co-ordinated way. We currently deliver a range of services including support at home, hospital admission prevention and discharge and transport services. The Operations Manager will ensure the service teams are well-led and ensure that all appropriate service standards, recognised good practice, legal requirements and budgetary management are incorporated into a quality programme that meets the needs of our service users and values the work of volunteers.The Operations Manager will actively network among Health and Social Care related bodies in the area to establish the Red Cross in the relevant communities and be able to demonstrate the impact of our work to support funding bids.The post requires evening and some weekend work, being part of a regular 24 hour duty officer on-call rota and potential emergency response duties at any time throughout the year.About the organisation The British Red Cross helps millions of people in the UK and around the world to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergencies, disasters and conflicts.
