Legal Knowledge Officer (J8479) - Permanent - Central Bristol - Up to ??27,000
Our client, an award winning Legal Practice in Central Bristol is seeking an experienced Legal Knowledge Officer to join the team.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Participate in knowledge sharing projects, in particular the identification, management and dissemination of know-how
- Liaise with legal teams and sector teams to support the development of precedents, know-how, matter management pages and templates
- Represent the Knowledge team at legal teams' meetings
- Maintenance of the Know-how gateway and other Intranet pages to ensure quality and accuracy of material
- Add and update precedent and know-how records on the catalogue (Ferret)
- Deliver sessions on knowledge sharing to staff
- Support the maintenance of Who Knows How, the Firm's online directory of legal expertise
- Support the knowledge sharing forum for the Firm's trainee solicitors
Essential requirements for this role
- Graduate or equivalent
- Understanding of information management principles and their application in practice
- Understanding of knowledge management principles
Required skills, knowledge and experience
- pro-active, client-focused attitude to knowledge sharing and service delivery
- understands the need to work in partnership with lawyers and support staff, for the benefit of clients
- good IT skills, including intranet and database development
- experience of contributing to knowledge sharing initiatives
- experience of working in a legal or commercial information service
