This successful SEN school is looking to appoint an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to its team. This is a full-time role that would suit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or an aspiring Educational Psychologist looking to further develop their practical experience.
My client is a thriving SEN School based in North Somerset. Students access a broad, balanced, differentiated and relevant curriculum, which includes full National Curriculum entitlement. Class sizes rarely exceed 12 students and each class is staffed with a qualified and experienced SEN teacher as well as a support/teaching assistant. Students are taught in ability groups in Key Stages 2 and 3 for both Literacy and Numeracy and Key Stage 4 students are entered for external qualifications, including GCSE and Entry Levels, plus appropriate vocational qualifications.
The Head is looking for a bright, caring SEN Teaching Assistant who can demonstrate an enthusiastic attitude and the interpersonal skills to show a sincere interest in the wellbeing of their pupils through dedicated pastoral support. Prior experience within an SEN School would be advantageous though the Head is keen to find candidates with the right attitude and approach to become part of their team.
