Full time teaching assistant role starting after Easter

Do you have an interest and genuinely care for the children you work with and their success? Can you progress the development of a child in their daily tasks in life and within school? If your answer to these questions is yes, then this could be your perfect next role.

You will be responsible for working 1:1, in a small group and whole class settings with young learners, supporting them during their time at school. This school is looking for someone that is dedicated and enthusiastic towards this role and the learners. A successful candidate will need to have previous experience working in a similar role with learners with specials need, behavioural or emotional problems and have knowledge of specific learning techniques with these types of learners.

This primary school in the Crawley area is looking for a teaching assistant who can provide support and join their team of passionate staff in their successful school community. Responsibilities:
Supporting class teachers with classroom management issues, also setting up activities, preparing resources, and helping children on an individual basis.
Running intervention programmes for small groups or individual children.
Some assessments and evaluations on progress levels of learners.
Managing behaviour in all lessons and around school

Relevant child care experience.
Be able to provide a child care reference
Relevant knowledge of the current national curriculum
Able to drive may be a benefit but not essential.
Eligibility to work in the UK
Previous experience working with children with special needs or behaviour issues may be useful.
