This company is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BA Team Leader to join their team at their Applications Centre in Northampton.
Where will you be working?
There will be a requirement for you to travel to clients from time to time, however your primary location will be at their Applications Centre based in Northampton. This is the hub for their onsite Merret Development and Support teams.
What will they ask you to do?
You will act as the interface between their clients and your internal stakeholders, with emphasis on maintaining ever more profitable relationships with both. Your role will be to explore the needs of our clients, and evolve specifications for system changes that bridge the gap between their retail business and their Merret supply chain solution. This will result in you operating across a portfolio of work, from change requests to projects.
Working in partnership with numerous high profile retailers, this is an opportunity for you to demonstrate expert requirements engineering and stakeholder management skills, interacting regularly with client personnel at all levels, including Board-level. You will work closely with developers, test analysts and third parties, to ensure software quality is to a high standard and the solution meets the business requirements.
Joining a newly-established and evolving team, you will feature heavily in helping to define and implement beneficial change within the team.

Do you have:
- A minimum of five years' demonstrable experience in a business analysis role.
- A desire to be part of change and establishing an exemplary team of Business Analysts.
- The knowledge, confidence and inter-personal skills to mentor peers, together with repeated experience of leading more junior Business Analysts. You will be taking the lead in establishing best practice and processes.
- The experience to define, voice and discuss ideas self-assuredly, in an open and collaborative fashion.
- A proven ability to assess the wider impact of change, based on initial requirements
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- A deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
- A desire to undertake BA duties alongside line management tasks.
- The ability to communicate effectively and clearly with technical and non-technical colleagues.
- The ability to multi-task across numerous projects and activities and manage your own workload.
- Experience of line management responsibilities, including resource planning across multiple projects.
- Knowledge of industry standards and processes (e.g. BCS) would be beneficial.
Retail experience would be beneficial, as would knowledge of JIRA.
