CHALFORD PARISH COUNCIL
FULL TIME GROUNDSMAN/WOMAN
Our long serving and efficient Groundsman is retiring after several years in the job.
As a result, Chalford Parish Council is seeking a full time permanent member of staff.
Chalford is one of the largest parishes in Gloucestershire with a population of over 6000.
We are fortunate to have many green spaces, including three allotment sites, three playing fields and woods.
The post is varied and includes regular maintenance of allotments, playing fields, cemetery and other areas of land under the jurisdiction of the Parish Council.
The successful person will be expected to ensure that all play areas, open spaces and council property is maintained to a high standard for the benefit of all users.
Commencing salary will be in accordance with NJC Scale 22, £20,661 for a 37 hour week.
Holiday entitlement is 20 days, rising to 25 after five years’ service.
The Council offers membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
Candidates must be aged 21 and over and hold a full clean driving licence.
A council vehicle is used to carry out council work and all personal protective equipment is provided.Applicants must be fit and healthy.
The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
