We are delighted to be working on behalf of a voluntarily organisation committed to promoting the welfare of families. Their volunteers offer regular, informal and confidential support to families under stress in their own homes helping to prevent family crisis and breakdown.
After recently receiving grant funding from the Big Lottery Fund for an exciting new project 'Home Wasn't Built in a Day', which will focus on providing practical support for families alongside the assistance, friendship and advice we already offer, through closely coordinated partnership working.
They now require a Project Manager to join their team in Corby. You will:
To be successful in this Project Management role you will have a qualification in working with children and young people for example National Vocational Qualification Level 3, Social Work background or Family Support Work. It is an essential requirement of this post that you have an understanding and experience of the early years of parenting.

- Value, develop and encourage the strengths and skills which volunteers bring to the project and extend these qualities through supervision, peer support and ongoing training plus provide opportunities to work alongside partners in their organizations; you will follow all safer recruitment, selection and training of volunteers
- Ensure the project meets the needs and wishes of the families and children served and that they have a say in how it is delivered
- Adhere to Governing documents, Standards and Methods of Practice, and Quality Assurance Standards
- Follow Safeguarding and Confidentiality policies and procedures as a priority

- Excellent team management and supervisory skills
- Experience of managing and overseeing budgets
- Experience Working with Steering Groups to report project progress
- A proven track record of effective leadership and of close working with partner organizations across the Borough of Corby
- Ability to establish, maintain and develop links with partners to provide an integrated approach to practical family support
- The skills to design and create training courses and activities, alongside partners
- The ability to oversee evaluation and monitoring of work, ensuring targets are met, and providing high quality reports to strict timescales
- Experience of identifying and establishing strong links with disadvantaged and vulnerable groups and ensuring they have access to this project
- Ability to establish and monitor strategic relationships across the Borough.
