Commercial Manager - FacadesSalary: GBP48k + BenefitsLocation: Fareham, South East HampshireContract: Full time, PermanentOur client is currently recruiting for a qualified, experienced Commercial Manager to work alongside the Commercial Director and to be responsible for the Facades Commercial Activities.The Role of the Commercial Manager: Assist & advise Op's Manager in managing costs and overhead and all factors affecting the profitable performance of the team/businessAssist Op's Manager in planning and managing all new business development required to achieve financial targetsIdentify relevant & establish business development opportunities/salesAttend pre con meetings to ensure correct scope and costs are producedEnsure adequate letter of intent/contract in place prior to contract startsProduce project cash flow forecastsEnsure company monthly applications are certified on time and invoiced as appropriateEnsure all monthly certificates are of a suitable value.Ensure all payments are received on time.Ensure monthly cost to complete reports are accurately produced and on time prior to contract reviewsConvene Team meetings and liaise with teamsOffer VE advice and alternative methods and productsPrepare claims or acceleration, prolongation and EOT requests for Directors approvalReview and report on team commercial adminIdentify and escalate any commercial issuesCarry out regular QS & Estimating duties.Prepare Quarterly Board presentations detailing commercial performance of Facades DepartmentIdentification of requirement, management and appointment of adequate staffRead, understand and implement company health and safety policy and all company processes at all times. Commercial Manager: Personal AttributesThe ideal candidate will be degree qualified in an RICS approved QA course or have applicable experience. They will also have a minimum of 5 years` experience in a commercial or QS role with previous experience at a senior level being desirable. Good at organisation and multitaskingAbility to remain calm and focusedAccuracy and quality in reports and documentsProfessional conduct when representing the businessExcellent people skillsBusiness development skills and ability to promote ATJ FacadesAbility to negotiate To be successful as a Commercial Manager for my client, the below are essential operational and technical skills required to effective fulfilment of the role.
