Casual Catering Assistant - Harborough Leisure Centre

Located on the southern side of Market Harborough, the Leisure Centre has a range of facilities and offers a variety of activities for all ages. We are currently recruiting for a Casual Catering Assistant to work as and when required. The Catering Assistant will be working as part of a team to achieve the highest standards of customer service within the centre`s food and beverage areas.Responsibilities: - Carry out daily cleaning duties, replenish stocks within the centre including vending machines - Cleaning, switching off, and securing all equipment after use - To ensure safe use and security of all equipment and kitchen areas - To carry out all duties in the kitchen - Preparation of food and maintain stock levels as required - Washing kitchen appliances, work surfaces, floors and walls - To carry out other duties that may be required including deep cleans - Working front of house, serving customers and handling cash - Maintain food safety and hygiene standards and apply the food safety proceduresSkills and Experience: - Experience of working in a catering role - Have a strong work ethic and commitment to customer service - Be an excellent team player with good organisation skills - Experience of cash handling - Food handling certificates desirableOn occasion we receive significantly more applicants than expected for some vacancies and under such circumstances we reserve the right to bring forward the closing date of the advertisement.
