Child Care Officer
An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time Child Care Officer to join the team at Canon's House, based in Devizes.

Canon's House provides short breaks for disabled children and young people aged 5-17 years. As part of a skilled and highly committed team, you will be responsible for the personal care and support of young people with physical and learning disabilities; some may also have challenging behaviour.
About the role
You will be responsible for providing a high quality, efficient and effective short-breaks service that responds to the needs of disabled and life-limited children and young people and their families/carers within a dedicated team.
Your duties will include providing personal care, following complex health care plans and maintaining a safe environment whilst on duty. You will be required to complete basic household tasks in addition to this.
About you
With three years' experience in a residential setting, you'll be educated to NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Positive and keen to provide an excellent service to vulnerable young people, your commitment to working flexibly and ability to work as part of a team or autonomously will be highly valued.
