Salary:

GBP35,360 - GBP53,040

10% on Target Bonus / Contributory Pension / 27.5 Days Holiday / Employee Broadband & TV Package

Key purpose of role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading IT company, to positively contribute to the direction of its Big Data and Data warehousing analytics solutions. We are looking for an innovative, and keen individual to lead on data visualisation solutions for our business partners.

Key responsibilities:

The successful candidate must be able to use initiative and take the lead. You will need to be a problem solver with a flexible attitude to managing projects, and stakeholder engagement. You will be provided with support and mentoring, but will have the level of autonomy to complete projects in a way that would be complemented by your technical strengths.

This role would suit an experienced Software Developer, with a broad range of technologies and with strong Front End abilities. If you have an analytical, problem solving approach to software solutions development, with an engineering mind-set, and great customer engagement, then this would be an ideal role for you.

The purpose of the Senior Software Engineering role is to select an appropriate technical strategy and deliver a solution in-line with architecture & security

Specifically this role is accountable for:
Investigating, analysing and identifying new areas of interest within the huge data stores on the Big Data warehouses. Technically coordinating a small matrix team (4-8 people) to deliver innovative solutions and generate exciting ideas. Customer interaction, exciting the customer with new ideas/approaches and delivering solutions back to the customer and stakeholders Integration of your solution with other solutions. Conducting peer reviews within BT or with suppliers, and challenging the quality of development and use of software engineering practice.

Data Visualisation/Analytics tools such as OBI, Oracle DV, Tableau, R, Shiny, DataMeer A good understanding of Big Data technology Great Inter personal and communication skills Analytical and problem solving ability Innovative and self-starting approach
