Communications Lead

An opportunity has arisen for a Communications Lead for a 6 month fixed term contract; to be based in Bristol or London.The successful Communications Lead will be joining a leading Mechanical, Electrical and Fabric property maintenance company.Job DescriptionJOB TITLE Communications Lead - 6 month contract (with opportunity to become permanent)JOB LOCATION: Nationwide - preferably close to Bristol or LondonRESPONSIBLE TO Change Lead SALARY RANGE: Dependant on capabilities and experienceMAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF COMMUNICATIONS LEAD:??? Ensure organisational initiatives are successfully communicated to employees??? Plan, edit and write content for a variety of communication mediums such as intranet, newsletters, social media, managers' speaking points or email bulletins.??? Draft messages or scripts for senior executives for presentation in written or spoken form??? Select appropriate channels and measurement tools to ensure messages are reaching their audiences.??? Keep employees and stakeholders abreast of Project progress and answer their questions.??? Respond to employee and stakeholder feedback and adjust communication content accordingly??? Collating and analysing current communications and messages and ensuring consistency across the Project's work streams.??? Input into Communications Strategies to increase awareness, promote productivity and ultimately meet the objectives of the Project.??? Support the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect Project perception and reputation.KEY SKILLS ??? Writing Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills as well as ability to source stories from the Project team and employees??? Speaking Skills: Strong presentation skills and able to successfully relay the values and goals of the Project??? Interpersonal Skills: Good relationship skills and possess the confidence to deal with senior executives ??? Creative Skills: Ability to devise communication campaigns, familiarity with digital and video means of communication.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE ??? Degree in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing??? Experience working within a communications team??? Experience writing for various audiences???
