Partnership Development Manager

West of England Works is a new and innovative project that will offer targeted packages of support to unemployed adults with multiple and complex needs to improve their employability and help them to progress into work. Running from January 2017 to December 2019, the project is jointly funded by the European Social Fund and the Big Lottery Fund. The project is led and managed by Weston College and is delivered through a comprehensive range of local voluntary and community sector organisations.

As a Partnership Development Manager, you will be the primary point of contact between the College and our delivery partners, and will be responsible monitoring partners to ensure that targets are fully delivered in a manner consistent with funding rules, and that project participants receive effective high-quality support. Partnership Development Managers will also undertake and coordinate activities intended to add value to the project as a whole, such as employer engagement and capacity building.

We are seeking individuals with a proven track record in establishing, developing and maintaining effective and mutually beneficial relationships with partner organisations. You must be able to effectively manage your own workload and the confidence to act on your own initiative. You must also have a proven ability to understand, interpret and effectively communicate complex strategies, plans and regulations in order to offer effective guidance and support to your partners.

Given the nature of the West of England Works Project we particularly welcome applications from individuals with significant experience of working within the Voluntary and Community Sector and/or experience of supporting multiple disadvantaged adults to secure sustainable employment.

The Partnership Development Managers will be formally based in either Bristol or Weston-super-Mare, but will spend most of their time meeting with partners at the various delivery locations across the West of England Area.
