An industry leading STEM publisher is searching for a driven and talented Managing Editor within their academic journals team to help contribute to the day-to-day management, and long term development of the journal portfolio. This position will be based in their North Hertfordshire office and will be well suited to a motivated and tenacious individual.Responsibilities of the Managing Editor include but will not be restricted to: Managing a portfolio of journals and ensuring their development in line with publishing plansSupporting the team with new journal launches and acquisitionsEnsuring efficient management of all journal Editorial BoardsActing as key liaison with a team of Editorial and Production Assistants to ensure Editorial Board details are up to dateRunning reports on internal systems and collating journal performance statisticsWorking with the journals team to ensure editorial workflows are optimised The successful applicant will likely be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a relevant discipline and have previous experience of managing a portfolio of STM journals.
