Quality Engineer

Job Summary: To work within an ISO 9001 environment in providing quality assurance activities for materials, components and finished assemblies, for conformity to drawing and specification. Undertake other duties supporting the company quality assurance policies and procedures.Responsible to: Manufacturing Systems Manager Education: BTEC in Mechanical Engineering preferred. Job Description 1.Sample inspect on an as required basis, bought in components and raw materials for conformance to specification, signing GRN's for acceptance or referring problems to the Quality Manager.2.Inspect in-house components as directed for conformance to specification by reference to drawing, documentation and engineering, using full range of inspection instruments and gauges.3.Investigate non-conformance's and perform problem solving investigations and implementing solutions.4.Inspect completed assemblies and finished parts prior to dispatch, making final checks against documentation.5.Check the calibration of the company's measuring equipment, making sure they are with calibration dates.6.Track components through the manufacturing process and confirm that manufacturing processes have been correctly signed off. Complete all necessary documentation on rejection/acceptance/rework..7.Carry out inspection on returned goods and provide written reports on faults found.8. Liaise with all engineering departments and supervision on quality decisions involving methods, drawing errors and process improvements.. Advertised through Zoek.
