Job Title: Qualified Accountant - International, Employment, Hypothetical Tax - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Location: Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire
Salary: GBP37,000 to GBP45,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits including 33 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays), Pension, Life Assurance + MORE

This role would suit a Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) with an understanding of Payroll and International Tax, Employment and Hypothetical Tax. You will not be responsible for tax calculations (there is a team for this).
You will be responsible for carrying out routine accounting duties for my clients seconded employees. You will control incoming & outgoing payments, logging invoices, coding, posting and also monitoring the costs against the budgets.
You will be proactive and not be afraid to look at processes and advise changes to improve the teams' performance.
Responsibilities
- Provide full accounting and financial support to the Firm's IM (International Mobility) team
- Accounting for assignment costs
- Monitoring and reporting of costs in comparison to agreed assignment budgets
- Work closely with the International Tax Team to ensure that the Firm's accounts accurately reflect the current tax position as regards each assignee
- Assisting with the ongoing development of the reporting process for assignments to ensure that SAP capabilities are fully utilised and that management information is continually improved
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects within the IM team and Balance Sheet team as they arise
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Good computer knowledge and skills, especially Excel (macros)
- A sound knowledge of accounting for payroll and payroll-related costs
- An appreciation of employment tax concepts would be advantageous
- Experience of SAP would be advantageous
- Be questioning of current processes and be able to highlight areas of weakness or risk
- A proactive and methodical approach
- An ability to work effectively within the team as well as being able to work on own initiative when required
- Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
- Clear communications skills, with the ability to develop effective relationships with at all levels within the Firm
