Collections Account Manager
Sundridge, Kent
GBP21,000 to GBP23,000 DOE
InterQuest Solutions are proud to be recruiting for a Collections Officer for one of our key clients based in Kent. Due to exceptional success you will be joining an established Collections Team to provide a debt recovery service for a rapidly growing finance business. As part of the role you will receive incoming calls and make outbound calls to customers in arrears to discuss payment options in compliance with regulatory and Company policies at all times.
Duties & Responsibilities
Deliver a consistent and professional level of service at all times.
Achieve set revenue targets and call quality objectives.
Advise customers on the payment options for debt recovery.
Handle each call promptly and in the correct manner, updating records accordingly.
Input customer related data accurately and efficiently.
Take responsibility for resolving disputes, ensuring that caller concerns are actioned correctly and all parties are notified.
Explain the terms of sale, credit or contract condition as appropriate.
Manage customers who are resistant to agent contact by remaining polite, tactful, honest and firm.
Decide on the correct action when negotiating payments.
Complete any administrative tasks as required
Follow strict Company policies and procedures at all times, ensuring that legislative requirements are met.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a phone based collections & customer service role (DCA or FCA/FSA preferred).
Good negotiation/objection handling skills
Have the ability to relate to people from a variety of different backgrounds.
Be persuasive, persistent and self-motivated, but show empathy, assertiveness, tact and resilience
Working hours are 37.5 hour week (all applicants must be available to work between 8am - 8pm Monday to Friday and 8am - 4.30pm Saturday)
Ideal candidates will hold a full driving licence and have their own transport due to location
