Our client is seeking a talented individual to join their award winning business as a Collections Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract based in their Farnborough offices. If you've got telephone service experience in a B2C (business to customer) financial services environment and are passionate about providing excellent customer care then our client would like to know about you.As part of your role, you will work as part of a shift pattern Monday - Friday 08.30 - 4.45 or 9.45 - 6.00 on a rota basis and one in four Saturdays mornings, 9am - 12.30pm.Working as a Collections Advisor involves optimising customer contact through understanding customers' circumstances and collecting outstanding arrears. Balancing customer needs against commercial viability and company brand values, you'll also support management in change activities to enable process improvement and regulatory compliance. As a member of the Collections team, your emphasis and focus will be on the quality of customer contact and ensuring that the customer is at the heart of all we do. Seeking to balance customer needs with commercial viability and brand values, you will field customer calls and take ownership of situations in order to identify satisfactory solutions. Speaking to customers over the phone, you'll agree repayment plans, reduce potential risk and secure customer payments whilst working within the guidance of the FCA's Treating Customers Fairly Principle. A major aspect of your role will be to overcome objections and conflicts meaning you'll need a calm approach and excellent conflict management skills in order to achieve rapport with customers. Additionally, your other duties may include: - Escalating cases for further action when assets are at risk - Maintaining service level agreements for all correspondence - Monitoring and following up agreements - Working with external stakeholders To be considered for the opportunity you will ideally have the following:* Track record of working in a Customer Services environment and dealing with inbound and outbound calls * Previous experience of working as a Collections Advisor in a Financial Services organisation would be highly desirable * Capable of extracting information by using appropriate questioning techniques, to make informed decisions to optimise cash collection and to resolve any potential breaches of contract * Be capable of handling conflict, negotiating and avoiding confrontation with the ability to prioritise tasks In order to be considered for this role a minimum of GCSE Maths and English Grades A-C is essential This role would suit someone with experience working as a Customer Service Advisor, Call Centre Advisor, Collections Associate or Sales Assistant.Index Recruitment is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.If you would like to apply please send your CV to #### together with your salary requirements, notice period and reasons for leaving past and present employment."Due to the high volume of applications we currently receive, we are unable to respond to all candidates.
