LOCATION: Leeds, West Yorkshire
JOB TITLE: Level 2 Nursery Nurse
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on skills & experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - Monday to Friday (working hours will range between 8am - 6pm)
THE COMPANY: Our client are a registered charity located in Middleton, Leeds, West Yorkshire who provide all year round childcare to local children up to school years and also offer an out of school club, providing local children with the chance to have a safe and fun setting for them grow, learn and play.
THE ROLE: As a Level 2 Nursery Nurse you will be a key person in our clients team and will work as part of the SLFC team under the direction of the management & supervisor to provide safe quality education and care for children and family support.
This is a fun hands on role where your duties will vastly range and will require you to engage, interact and play with children as well as being responsible for maintaining the online profiles of a group of key children. You will be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining curriculum plans, plan and evaluate daily/weekly indoor and outdoor activities, complete reports and set up activity rooms/displays. You will also serve and assist with meal times and as importantly offer friendship, companionship and a safe, stable environment for the children to play and learn in.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Level 2 Nursery Nurse's position must have previous working experience with young children and hold a minimum of a Level 2 NVQ in childcare (or equivalent qualification) as well as having a good knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation) and Safeguarding practices. It is essential you are an enthusiastic, positive and confident person who can engage with people well. You must have a good flexible approach to your work and be a committed and reliable person. Although fun, this is a demanding role so it is also essential you have good mental and physical health.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Level 2 Nursery Nurse role in Leeds, West Yorkshire :-
- Must have a Level 2 NVQ (or equivalent) qualification in childcare
- Previous experience working with children
- Good knowledge of EYFS (Early Years Foundation) and Safeguarding practices are essential
- It is essential you are a reliable person who is committed to working with children and developing within the role
