Accounts Assistant
Durham DH1
£19,000 + bonus
Monday – Friday 08.30 to 17.00 with 30 min lunch
Our client is one of Europe’s largest retail trade associations with over 15,000 retailers in membership throughout the UK and Ireland. They are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to provide temporary maternity cover for an estimated 12 months.
Position Summary
As an Accounts Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out weekly financial reconciliation work and prepare reports accordingly
• Monthly fee reconciliations for wholesalers which consists of uploading/creating batches, working through lists of exceptions to determine why the fees haven’t been allocated, raising FQF’s where needed and completing post fee checks once the batch has been posted
• Creation of the upload file and processing Direct Debit transactions and contacting members regarding any payment issues
• Analysing fee information in order to provide the finance department with the relevant information and final figures to raise invoices
• Analysing and approving RDM/RSO expenses on a monthly basis
• Keeping all FQFs/Finance MQFs up to date and active
• Analysing MQF and Recruitment lead report to ensure they are being followed up within the timeframes
About you
The successful candidates will have the relevant skills and experience to undertake the role including:
• Maths and Accounts qualification
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel
• Experience in a similar role
• Good communication skills both verbal and written
• Works efficiently on your own as well as working as part of a team
