Established IT Services Company based in Chester are looking for an IT Support Technician to join their support team. The ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of IT Support.

The role will involve taking IT support calls from clients covering a range of Microsoft technologies, from desktop up to server operating systems and solutions such as Microsoft Exchange Server. There will also be some aspects of Linux support, although full training will be given. You will also be required to support other networking devices such as switches, firewalls/routers, printers, Active Directory and Group Policy. You will also be part of the 27/7 on call rota.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate effective skills in supporting clients to a 1st line level. You will ensure that all support calls and queries are dealt with in an efficient manner and in line with our clients SLA terms. You will work to tight deadlines and be happy to take ownership of support queries as they come in, seeing them to completion or escalating them to another member of the team.

We encourage on the job training and our staff are happy to sit and work through problems with you so that your ongoing personal training is constant throughout your time with the company.

You will have a good working knowledge of both LAN and WAN networks and how to fault find on common issues that can arise with these type of connections.

Successful candidates will hold the following range of skills and experience:
Microsoft Server OS (2016-2003)
Microsoft Exchange Server (2016-2003)
Windows Desktop OS (10/8.1/8/7/XP)

Desirable skills but not essential:
Microsoft Hyper-V Server
VMware
DNS
IIS
Active Directory/Group Policy
TCP/IP
