Cathedral Appointments are currently seeking a confident, friendly and organised individual to join our Exeter based client as Community Fundraiser on a permanent basis.
The main purpose of this role is to manage, develop and support a range of community fundraising activities to raise awareness and promote the charity. Duties include:
• To work with the Events and Community Fundraising Manager to assist with fundraising activities taking lead responsibility for some events.
• To plan, monitor and manage the key event budgets
• To ensure all events and activities have a detailed project plan and budget to help manage and evaluate as needed.
• To work with all key internal teams to ensure they are engaged with the charity's portfolio of events and supporting where needed
• To work with the Marketing and Communications team to produce compelling marketing materials
• To ensure social media is utilised to engage support and enhance relationships for all key events.
• Liaising with and managing volunteers at any events.
Skills and experience
This is a busy, people focused role in which excellent organisation and people skills are of the utmost importance. Candidates should be confident and able to build strong relationships with supporters in a short space of time. Previous experience within an events or commercial role would be beneficial.
Due to the nature of the role, candidates must be able to drive with access to a car and be willing to work the occasional weekend (with time back in lieu)
