CPCS Digger/Dumper Operator
Our illustrious client is the leading supplier of products and services to the UK Petroleum Industry.

Due to business expansion they currently have an exciting opportunity for CPCS Digger/Dumper Operator based in the Manchester / Liverpool / Cheshire / Midlands area. The role will involve extensive travel throughout the UK
Principal Objectives:
Work as part of the Installations team undertaking general building duties and groundwork.
The installation team currently have a heavy workload and a lot of travelling/overnight stays therefore flexibility is imperative, at present the team are earning high levels of overtime due to this.
Key Responsibilities:
• General Building & Labouring duties e.g. digging out, breaking out, kerb laying, preparing and mixing concrete
• Measuring and setting out and finishing techniques
• Assist in Installation tasks including storage tank installations, petroleum installs and commercial equipment installations
• Assist in estimating costs of overheads, materials, labour and equipment for use in tenders
• Assist in planning methodology for each project stage and monitoring progress against agreed completion dates
• Preparation of construction sites prior to commencement of works
• Assist the technicians in checking the quality of suppliers and negotiating cost-effective prices
• Demonstrate safe working practices at all times, adhering to H&S legislation and Company H&S rules and procedures
• Other duties as required
Skills & Abilities Required (Essential):
• Good communication skills
• Formal building industry related qualifications or practical building experience
• Methodical approach
• Mechanical aptitude
• Some knowledge of engineering practices
• Team player
• Flexible approach to work including travel and hours
• Digger License
• Dumper License
• Forklift Truck License
• Use of Level Equipment
• Team player - Must be willing to work as part of a team which may at times involve assisting the electrical or pipefitting teams on installations.
• UKPIA (within 1 month of commencing role)
• Full current UK driving licence
Skills & Abilities Required (Desirable):
• CSCS Card
• IPATH
• PASMA
• Abrasive Wheel
• Basic schematic drawing
