As a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer, you will be responsible for developing our client’s platform drivers, as well as undertaking server management activities. 

Managing the full software development lifecycle, you’ll play a hands-on role in the requirements planning stages, as well as analysis, design, development, testing and support activities. 

Using best in class processes throughout the development process, you’ll ensure that all project tasks are completed in a timely manner and within the required deadlines. 

To be considered for this superb opportunity, you must have: 

- At least five years’ software development experience, gained in an embedded environment 
- Possess 
- Experience of embedded Linux and adaptions for new hardware, including U-Boot, Linux kernel installations, filesystems, BusyBox, Buildroot, Linux drivers, networking and real time extensions
- Large systems debugging experience
- Excellent C knowledge, particularly in the development of embedded or real-time software 
- Good knowledge of processor technology, especially ARM architecture 
- A primary degree in electronics, software engineering or a related field 

Organised and analytical, as a Senior Embedded Linux Software Engineer, you must have fantastic English communication skills with an excellent eye for detail. Great time-management and problem solving abilities are also key. 

Experience of X86 server management, including BMC, IPMI and power management would be beneficial.
