Job Role/Skills and Experience
Being a 3.5T (B1) driver is more than just delivering building materials for when they need to be there. It requires a person who is happy to be the face of our company, as you will often be the only individual our customers see, so delivering a high level of customer service is what makes you and our brand stand out from the rest.
Being a warehouse operative you will be responsible for ensuring that customer orders are ready for collection when specified whilst ensuring minimum stock damage and accurate picking of stock for delivery. You will also be required to receive goods into the warehouse and correctly store them. As a part of this you will also be required to have involvement in stock control and ensuring that stock levels are sufficient.
* If you have a 3.5T (Category B1) licence, as well as a flexible approach, excellent customer-focused attitude, together we will strengthen our business relationships and boost our success.
* You will be loading and unloading so there will be some lifting involved and previous experience of delivery driving is preferred.
* Previous experience doing multi-drop deliveries.
* A forklift certificate would be useful, but is not essential.
* We pride ourselves on the training that we offer; this involves a 2 ?? residential induction course.
* Sociable working hours, which is based on a 45 hour week - (Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:00 and alternative Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00).
