Electrician - Ystrad Mynach
Resource Direct Recruitment are recruiting for an Electrician to be based in Ystrad Mynach. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a salary of circa GBP27,000 (depending on experience).The role holder will report to the Technical Services Supervisor and will undertake Planned and Reactive Maintenance of all mechanical & electrical plant across multiple sites on 3 contracts within South Wales. To undertake reactive and planned maintenance of other critical plant as and when requested, in line with general building services. Undertake the quoting of chargeable works..
* Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive maintenance of mechanical & electrical systems and equipment.
* Multi-skilled work within a maintenance environment
* Liaise with suppliers to minimise costs whilst keeping good value.
* Instruction to client on use of equipment.
* Reactive works to failed systems
* Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.
* Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work.
* Where instructed, carry out minor repairs to the building fabric to ensure the safety and security of the client's premises, staff and visitors.
* Respond in a safe manner to the effects of bad weather, e.g. Snow clearing, gritting, flooding, high winds, etc.
* Undertake training to maintain and develop the requirements of the service.
* Act as Competent or Authorised Person as directed and appointed.
* Liaise and undertake duties at other healthcare projects as directed.
* Participate in emergency on-call rota.
* Ensure Health and Safety policies are followed across all sites.
* Liaise with and maintain good working relationship with clients
* Any other duties as required to the role.
Qualifications
* Previously worked within a maintenance environment on electrical plant
* Electrical inspection and testing C&G 2391/2395/2395
* NVQ level 3 or time served apprentice
* 17th edition IEE regulations installation, service, maintenance of equipment
* Multi-skilled work experience within a maintenance environment
* Have an understanding of the operational procedures and safe working practices of building services and systems within a healthcare environment
* Possess a current valid driving licence
