Kirklees College is a large successful FE college, currently Ofsted graded as Good. Operating across Kirklees with centres based in Huddersfield and Dewsbury.

Fixed term until December 2018, full time 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year.

We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and organised Activities & Events Officer to work at Kirklees College. You will be responsible for the HEFCE funded HEART NCOP project and will report dually to the College and the HEART NCOP Project Manager.

HEART is a partnership of 12 Higher Education providers and is the Higher Education Funding Council for England's (HEFCE) formally recognised Single Point of Contact in West Yorkshire.

The National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) seeks to identify and address issues around progression to higher education for young people living in areas where progression is low overall, and particularly low when GCSE attainment is taken into account.

The role will require you to work collaboratively with our 12 Higher Education providers across West Yorkshire, as well as with partner schools/academies/colleges across our target wards.

The main aim of your role is to champion and contribute to the successful delivery of activities and events to achieve an up-lift in progression to higher education.

A check with the Disclosure and Barring Service will be undertaken for this post.

The qualifications deemed essential for the post are a minimum of a Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*-C) and an educated to degree level or equivalent work experience.

Planned interviews: 27th April 2017 (Dewsbury Centre)

If you have supplied an e-mail address, should you be shortlisted for interview, we will contact you via your e-mail address. Please ensure that you check your 'Spam' or 'Junk' mailboxes, as sometimes emails can be diverted to these folders.
