About the Global Process Alignment Manager role

Reporting to and supporting the Director of Global Accounting & Compliance, this role is responsible, as a key member of a global compliance team, for the management, review and development of global accounting policies across the Global Accounting Operations (“GAO”) Function.

In this role, you’ll join our Global Accounting Operations team based out of our office in Hatfield.

Key Responsibilities of our Global Process Alignment Manager

This is a completely new position within PB and has great potential for career development and value added work for the right candidate.

Within the global process alignment section of the role, the responsibilities are:

- Identification of risk areas by application of strong technical knowledge to accounting practices in Business Units;

- Identify areas for development of global accounting policies where gaps exist and where a global policy will bring greater transparency, efficiency in reporting and consistency;

- Reviewing, identifying and understanding underlying issues through discussions and in-depth reviews with the various stakeholders;

- Developing practical group wide strategies to resolve issues with support and buy in from Business Units;

- Presentation and communication of issues, findings and recommendations to stakeholders including senior management

- Providing technical accounting support to the Financial Control team and influence decision making on key technical issues

- Requires outstanding planning and strong working relationships with finance professionals across three continents to successfully execute

- Develop and implement progressive process improvements to deliver control, accounting and reporting assurance. Continual focus upon implementing lasting fixes into process that minimize manual intervention

- Projects to include the roll out of the new US GAAP standard ASC 606 – Revenue from Contracts with Customers in Europe, LATAM and Asia Pac.

- Creation of an automated Global Intercompany process in conjunction with SAP Project team (IMPACT)

- Identify and understand the key or unique business drivers for each area; develop relevant reporting and communicate to our customers

- Build an effective, responsive relationship between GAO and all of our customers; both collaborative in nature and strong in character to implement change

What we are looking for in our Global Process Alignment Manager:

- Strong technical accountant – must be qualified ACA, CIMA or equivalent

- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint ability

- SAP literate

- Excellent communication skills

- Good organisational and relationship building skills.

Desirable requirements of our Global Process Alignment Manager:

- 3+ years of balance sheet reconciliation and management reporting experience

- Experience of working within an international environment

- Experience of working with a balance sheet reconciliation software application (desirable)

- 2nd European language other than English

- US GAAP experience
