Newly Qualified Teacher? Looking to exhaust your qualifications and experiences in best practise within a well established primary school in Leeds?
We are hoping to appoint a NQT for a long term contract within Leeds to join a lovely group of children to encourage proactive learning by involving pupils in the lessons, ensuring full learning potential is engaged.

The role will include:

  • Planning and preparing courses and lessons.
  • Teaching pupils according to their educational needs including the setting and marking of their work.
  • Assessing, recording and reporting on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Promoting the general progress and well-being of individual pupils and of any class or group of pupils assigned.
  • Providing guidance and advice to pupils on educational and social matters and on their further education and future careers.
  • Making records of and reports on the personal and social needs of pupils.
  • Communicating and consulting with the parents of pupils.
  • Provide oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual pupils and groups of pupils.
  • Participate in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral arrangements.
  • Maintaining good order and discipline among the pupils and safeguarding their health and safety both on the school premises and when they are engaged in authorised school activities elsewhere
  • Promote equal opportunities within the school and to seek to ensure the implementation of the Authority's and the school's Equal Opportunities Policy.
  • Participate in further training and professional development activities as a teacher.
  • Carry out regular review of teaching methodology and programmes of work.
  • Participate in school meetings relating to the curriculum, administration and general organisation of the school.
  • Participate in the preparation and development of courses of study, teaching materials, teaching programmes, methods of teaching and assessment and pastoral arrangements.
  • Provide oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual pupils and groups of pupils.
