Role: VFX Supervisor/Lead Compositor

Rate: GBP255 per day

Start Date: 13/03/2017

Location: Hertfordshire

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a VFX Supervisor/Lead Compositor to join our client's creative team in helping them create a VR piece for a well-known fantasy drama series.

Responsibilities:
The VFX Supervisor will advise on the VFX best practices and will provide guidance to the artists helping them to find creative and technical solutions based on show needs.
Be involved in planning a VR film shoot.
Be on set during the shoot and guiding our VFX team from 3D asset production to final VR compositing which will be done in Nuke/Cara.
Acting as the go to person for production regarding any questions related to VFX work (both ongoing and upcoming).
Advise production regarding issues concerning bids, current status and complexity.
Provide production with anticipated completion times for tasks.

Required Skills:
5 years + feature film/TV production experience (at least one project in VR).
2yrs+ experience as a Lead.
Proficient in Nuke/Cara and Maya/Vray.
Experienced in VR Compositing.
Experience with Maya nParticles and/or particle plugins such as Phoenix FD.
Strong understanding of natural phenomena and how to replicate them using FX techniques.
Deep understanding of lighting and composition.
Excellent eye for detail.
Excellent time management and communication skills.
Capable of managing a team of artists.
