As part of the Claims Function, and reporting to the Claims Team Manager or Claims Centre Manager, the role of Senior Claims Handler is to manage effectively a case-load of complex commercial claims ensuring that company policy, procedure and regulatory requirements are adhered to at all times. The Senior Claims Handler will also support the development of the department and assist in the delivery of overall technical strategic direction, technical best practice, governance, audits and other chosen objectives across specified lines of business. Candidates must be able to demonstrate their experience dealing with commercial claims gained within a broker, insurer or loss adjuster. Progression towards professional insurance qualifications would be a distinct advantage. You must also have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
