We are looking for a Registered Manager to join an organisation that provides residential child care and therapeutic interventions for children and young people with mental health issues and complex needs.

* Location: Minehead
* Salary ??40,000 - Will pay more if experience warrants.
* The home is located within walking distance of the beach and local amenities.

The role

We need an innovative, motivated and experienced Registered Manager, who can lead the team in achieving the best possible outcomes for the young people in our care, whilst adhering to all policies and procedures and external regulations. This will be a challenging yet rewarding role where you will need to work under pressure and develop great relationships. Candidates will need to have the following:

* At least two years' experience of managing a children's home
* MUST have a Social Work degree or QCF Level 4-5 Leadership and management
* Established record of consistently achieving good or outstanding ratings from Ofsted
* Must have sound knowledge and understanding of current regulations and quality standards.
* Excellent presentation and communication skills.
* Committed to working with children and young people with complex and challenging needs
* Be enthusiastic and highly motivated to promote an outstanding and inspirational service

The organisation

The organisation offers a therapeutic and nurturing residential home for young people who may have mental health problems and/or complex needs. The team has specialist expertise and skills in working with young people who have mental health difficulties, including those who present with an emerging or diagnosed Emotionally Unstable (Borderline) Personality Disorder, Depressive Disorders and Attachment Disorders.

The Directors are trained Psychiatric Nurses with additional training in psychological therapy and take a lead in ensuring all young people within their care receive appropriate assessments and interventions in relation to any mental health difficulties. The team has access to additional specialist clinicians, including a Clinical Psychologist, Community Artist and Theatre Practitioner and an Art Therapist.
