As a key member of the marketing team, you will be responsible for producing engaging and informational scientific copy for marketing materials as well as for the company's website. Based from the company's office in Bristol you will also be required to contribute rich content for various marketing campaigns and should be comfortable with going the extra mile required to meet marketing targets and deadlines.
Core responsibilities as a Scientific Technical Writer - 12 months Maternity Cover - Bristol
* Write new product descriptions, pharmacologically categorize new products, and assist with the maintenance of scientific content on the company's website
* Write and commission scientific copy for marketing materials, including product brochures, life science posters, scientific reviews and promotional flyers
* Compose content for marketing campaigns, including e-alerts and other promotional materials
* Review and proofread new website content and marketing materials
* Liaise with the product management team to devise and produce technical material
* Represent the company at industry tradeshows
* Collaborate with other divisional teams to cross-sell the brands' different product lines via a range of marketing materials
* Maintain a scientific appreciation of the company's product range and marketplace

REQUIREMENTS
In order to apply you should meet all or most of the following criteria:
* Educated to Ph.D. Level in a life science subject (molecular / cell biology, biochemistry)
* Evidence of prior writing work such as publications, a thesis or other projects is essential
* Must have a good eye for detail, first class writing and time management skills coupled with the ability to meet deadlines
* Have the ability to effectively manage multiple projects
* Must be able to act independently and work cross-functionally
* Competent in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Knowledge of Adobe design software would be desirable but not essential
REMUNERATION
Package includes:
* Salary of ??25-28,000, depending on experience
