SNR Recovery Support Worker - Evening Sanctuary (Maternity Cover)

This post is a 5 months maternity leave cover.

As a "Senior" the post holder will focus on taking responsibility for the delivery of an evening sanctuary at weekends, working in the evening sanctuary at weekends, working with individual living with serious Mental Health conditions who seek support during the hours of 18:00-02:00 Saturday and Sunday in a non-clinical environment. The role involves developing purposeful relationships with individuals to support them to return to their homes and to plan their coping strategies; this can include signposting to services in the Living Well Network. The post holder will support a recovery support worker plus members who are volunteering to work in the sanctuary.

Mosaic Clubhouse is an integrated clubhouse and resource centre providing personalized community support to people with mental health problems in Lambeth. Our aim is to create a supportive community and opportunity centre, designed to identify and fulfill individual and collective potential. Members’ work, energy and ideas are needed to make the clubhouse function. Clubhouse members actively participate in decision-making and in all operational and administrative functions of the clubhouse, and the services it provides to members and visitors to the centre.

This post is dedicated to being responsible for supporting individuals who are seeking support in our Evening Sanctuary, a non-clinical support service open between 18:00 -02:00 Saturday and Sunday, while also liaising with referrers each night.

The post-holder is required to work to the ethos of recovery with the specific role of engaging members and organising the work so that it is accessible to all.

At all times the post holder will work in partnership with the members and staff of Mosaic Clubhouse and must promote participation in governance and decision-making.

The post is for the equivalent of 24 hours per week. Every Saturday 18:00 – 02:00 and every Sunday 18:00 – 02:00.

The salary for the post of Senior Recovery Support Worker is £28,762 Pro Rata paid monthly in arrears by BACS, this includes London Allowance.

Please note successful applicants will be expected to work during normal business hours for the first 3 weeks of their appointment in order to participate in a thorough induction programme at Mosaic Clubhouse.
