About the Role:The Management Trainee (MT) performs duties, under direction of experienced personnel, to gain 'hands-on' experience and knowledge to learn how to manage the branch and support the business. The MT is a training position that performs duties in all aspects of a branch in order to become familiar with line and staff functions, operations, management, viewpoints, company policies and practices that affect each phase of the business. The objective of the trainee assignment is to begin to learn the business so that they can ultimately run the branch unit. There is great variety in the role, encouraging initiative and entrepreneurial action within the security of a full time permanent job role. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (* Essential Functions) * Provide a high level of customer service by assisting customers and assessing their requirements in person or by telephone.* Assist customers in a courteous manner.* Conduct follow up with suppliers in accordance with business needs and liaise with various businesses and customers to obtain appropriate information, status and availability of products.* Determine appropriate charges and handle all forms of customer payment.Understand, communicate and sell optional packages, terms and conditions.Continuously build knowledge and skills. Pursue training and development opportunities, as well as attend required company-sponsored training classes.Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance.Understand, communicate and sell product benefits and features.Operations and financial planning - planning, projections, profit and loss of branchNotify Management of any customer or product problems as well as daily maintenance required.Assistant Branch Marketing efforts (outside Sales) as needed, to increase business and income.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. About the Person: Candidates need to either have completed and obtained a degree (of any discipline) or equivalent. They must be extremely motivated and ambitious. Strong leadership abilities or the potential for such, coupled with a desire to work in a challenging sales / customer service / management environment is essential. Some sales and customer service experience is essential. People Management experience is desirable; this can come in many forms such as captain of a team / leading a group or project / training new employees at work, even if it's not your official job title. Good communication, negotiation and decision making abilities are also of essence, as is good customer service and administration skills. Flexibility and 'going that extra mile' rewards itself financially and with promotion in recognition of hard work. Ability to work under pressure and to set targets is essential. Applicants must have a full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points on and pocess appropriate work VISA's to work full time in the UK. Benefits: Starting salary of ??20,000 per annum with opportunity to increase this to ??21,000 after 6 months / Profit Share once reach Assistant Manager (average time 6-12 months) / full training. Progression to Assistant and Branch Manager within 1-2 years (the company will not hold you back, they encourage progression, so it will be up to you how quickly you progress). Once you reach Assistant Manager, you will start to receive profit share of the business (Salary ??25K+).
