Would you like to make a difference to an older adult in your local area by becoming a Care Assistant or Companion/Befriender Are you looking for part time hours in the Reading area and are you a car driver?
We are an award-winning provider specialising in companionship and care & support to private clients who are still very active, but may require just companionship or companionship and care to help them to remain independent. This could include offering support to help them with their morning routine, assistance with washing, dressing, prompting to take medication, taking them out shopping/attending local groups, attending doctors/hospital appointments, preparing a meal for them and being a friend and someone for company. Nothing is rushed we spend an absolute minimum of an hour with the people we support.
Being a Home Care Assistant or Companion/Befriender is very rewarding and works both ways, you will also gain a companion & friend!
What are the potential hours?
You will be looking for part-time hours approximately 10-30 hours per week. We are particularly interested to recruit CAREGivers who are available in the mornings from 7 – 7.30am. We are also keen to talk to people with time at the weekends.

We pay an excellent hourly rate from £9.00 Per/Hour on weekdays and over £10.00 Per/Hour at weekends.

What skills do you need to be a Care Assistant?
Firstly, you have to want to make a difference and have a big heart! You can be any age group and from any background there is no upper limit, the ability to be able to strike a relationship and rapport with the person you are paired with is so important. To be a Home Care Assistant you should also be happy to provide personal care which could be helping someone brush their teeth, assisting with washing & dressing, feeding or brushing their hair.
