Job Description:
We are seeking an IT Project Manager on a 10 month fixed term contract to provide maternity leave cover. The project manager will take responsibility for delivery of a range of IT and business systems related projects, using best practice project management methodologies to ensure that objectives are met.The post holder will play a key role in the successful completion of significant programme of investment in IT systems currently being taken by the organisation.
The role is based in our head office in Wimbledon, South West London which is accessible to physically disabled people
Responsibilities will include:
The hands-on planning and management of a range of projects, providing direction and support to project teams and individuals, ensuring that the business goals scoped by the project objectives are met on time and within budget.
Determining the allocation and timeline for tasks within the project plan, ensuring that deliverables are met, in agreement with stakeholders who may be colleagues in the IT team or other internal functions, or external parties such as consultants.
Liaising with third party specialists and suppliers, ensuring that agreed deliverables are achieved.
Tracking progress using appropriate project management tools, identifying problems and working with stakeholders to propose solutions.
Ensuring that effective change and risk management processes are maintained, and that concerns and issues are escalated to senior management as appropriate.
Providing regular progress reports to senior management in an agreed format.
Ensuring all project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
Facilitating effective communication between stakeholders, who may be from different areas of the organisation and at varying levels of seniority.
The applicant should have a good track record of delivering projects to time, quality and budgetary expectations. You will be able to combine this focus on delivery with excellent stakeholder management skills.
You will be reporting to the Senior Project Manager and will be able to provide project management advice to colleagues throughout the organisation. You will be working within the IT team and with a wide range of colleagues at all levels across the organisation.You will also need to liaise closely with external consultants and other third parties.

Managing and controlling resources to meet demands and changing priorities, ensuring financial viability.
The working hours are 35 hours per week, Monday –Friday but occasional out of hours work may be required. Closing date for applications is midnight on Wednesday 29 March 2017
