Senior HR Advisor, full time (Part time hours may be considered) – 5 days a week, salary commensurate with experience.

  • Location: Taunton, Somerset (although some travel will be required)

The company provides outsourced HR advice and support to small and medium sized business in and around the West Country and London.  Due to a rapid growth in business, the company is looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to support its growing portfolio of clients. This is a great opportunity to work with a variety of companies, across multiple business sectors, dealing with the full range of HR activities.

 

The role of Senior HR Advisor:

  • Providing telephone and email advice to clients on all aspects of HR with a particular focus on employee relations and employment law.
  • Creating and issuing letters and documents which support the HR advice provided to clients.
  • Assisting clients on site with redundancy programmes, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, appraisals and TUPE matters.
  • Chairing formal meetings on behalf of clients.
  • Supporting client recruitment activities.
  • Updating and developing client policies, procedures and staff handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice.
  • Liaising with clients to further enhance strong business relations.
  • Following up on new leads and opportunities with new and existing clients.
  • Project work that may include HR systems development and implementation.

 

The ideal Senior HR Advisor:

The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background with strong employment law knowledge and be part of fully CIPD qualified.

They must have an excellent telephone manner and be commercially aware of the needs of small businesses.

HR experience over various business sectors is desirable.

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines.
