Charity Treasurer

New Dawn Counselling Service has been providing high-quality, affordable counselling to individuals and couples across Somerset and North Somerset for 24 years.We are currently experiencing a period of rapid growth and are in the process of restructuring the management and trustee teams to enable us to effectively and efficiently deal with the new challenges faced by a growing charity.Our current Treasurer, Ali Dart, will be stepping down from the trustee board to continue her work as our financial director and as one of the day-to-day managers of New Dawn Counselling Service.We are now looking for a new Treasurer to take Ali's place on the trustee board.We are looking for an individual based in Somerset or North Somerset who would be interested in joining our trustee board as the Treasurer. Given the importance of the Treasurer's role, we are looking for an individual who has a background of working within the finance industry.Experience of being a charity trustee is desirable but not essential. Knowledge of mental health and counselling is also desirable but not essential.The trustee board currently meets 6 times a year on a Friday and it is essential that you are able to attend the majority of meetings.Due to the important of the Treasurer's role, we will only consider applications from individuals who have experience of working within the finance industry.We are seeking an individual who can commit to working with us for a minimum of 2 years.
