Our client an established highly respected firm of Accountants are looking for an experienced Audit & Accounts Semi or Senior. You will be responsible for a mixed portfolio of corporate and entrepreneurial clients, providing a variety of audit and accounts services. Duties will include: Preparation of statutory financial statements from trial balance or primary recordsPreparation of working papers to support financial statements including lead schedules, checklists and statutory reviewsAudit of financial statements by way of sample testing and analytical reviewPreparation of working papers to support audit work carried out including lead schedules, checklists and statutory reviewsVisiting client's premises to carry out audit work where necessary, including stock take attendancesLiaising with clients as and when necessary to carry out work including audit and accounting queries and confirmation of statutory positionPerforming an advisory role to a portfolio of clientsWorking solely or as part of a team on audits and accounts preparation assignments in respect of small, medium & large companiesMeeting internal & external deadlinesThe role is 80% in-house although a large part of that time will be spent communicating with clientsReview of audit and accounts work undertaken by junior members of the teamReporting on a regular basis to Managers and Director for auditing and accountingPartake in regular meetings to discuss progress and current client issues with the Director and to understand the workload of colleaguesPartake in quarterly technical update meetings with the whole team. You will hold a professional qualification such as AAT/ACA/ACCA or be a Finalist and have at least 2 to 3 years UK practice experience. You will also possess good technical ability in accounting as well as having a strong audit background.
