Proctor & Chester Measurements has a unique opportunity available for a Purchasing and Stock Control Administrator to join the team in Kenilworth. The role is a full time, permanent position offering a salary of £18,000 - £20,000 per annum plus benefits.

Procter Chester Measurements Limited (PCM) is a long established company based in Kenilworth, Warwickshire. PCM provide and custom design load cells and instrumentation to customer specification along with inspection, repair and calibration services, carrying out full investigation of parts using purpose design test machines.  A strain gauge bonding service is delivered working closely with customers to provide a flexible service using appropriate strain gauge, adhesive, coating, cable, etc. for the specific applications.

As Purchasing and Stock Control Administrator, your role will be to manage the ordering, receipt and storage of components and materials coming into the business and to monitor work in progress to ensure availability of parts required for jobs to be completed.

What are the responsibilities of the Purchasing and Stock Control Administrator?

- Order components and other materials from a preferred supplier list, keeping the list up to date at all times and ensuring suppliers maintain service standards.

- Source components and materials not on the PSL ensuring value for money and the quality of products ordered is to standard; negotiating on price and delivery time where appropriate.

- Oversee the receipt, unpacking and storage of incoming items to the stores, check for quality and damage and manage any returns.

- Maintain stock control and carry out regular stock checks advising on minimum and maximum levels required.

- Ensure all products come with COSHH information where required and ensure storage of any chemicals and coatings comply with COSHH regulations.

- General administrative and office duties including answering the phone, filling and photocopying, providing cover for holidays when required.

Preferably, you will have experience of working within and office/purchasing or stock control environment
