About the role

We have various exciting opportunities for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our team of Support Workers at our Resource Centre in Knapwell, Cambridge. We have the opportunity to work 35 hours per week (part time) on a permanent basis.

We have additional opportunities to work on a casual basis; our casual/ bank arrangements are very flexible and can fit around your life. We are looking for people with a range of availability and have various shifts on offer.  Our casual positions attract an hourly rate of £7.50 per hour.

As a Support Worker you will support people to live more independent lives.  This may include assisting with people’s personal care, their dietary requirements and social activities. We are looking for caring people who have the empathy and patience to positively focus on the people we support.

Cambridge Resource Centre is located in Knapwell, approximately 10 miles outside of Cambridge.  We are not located on a public transport route, so applicants must have alternative means of travel.

As a Support Worker you will be working with young adults with sensory impairment and associated learning difficulties and physical disabilities, providing support to achieve everyday living outcomes.  BSL Level 1 or higher is an advantage, but is not an essential requirement for the role.
